Minor

Medical Humanities

Program

Medical humanities is an interdisciplinary field of study that draws primarily from the humanities, but also social sciences and arts to explore the human dimensions of health and health care. It provides ways for those interested in health care to explore issues and influences related to health that are not wholly explicable in purely scientific terms. The holistic and interdisciplinary emphases of a Medical Humanities minor promises to enable students to be better informed, more skilled, ethically-informed practitioners in the health professions.
